| Agu Kebele in Kombolcha woreda, East Harerghe zone, Oromiya region received devastating rain and floods in August 2006 that destroyed much of its crops. Action Aid Ethiopia using HRF funding was able to distribute seeds to get the community back on its feet. Action aid targeted 767 households out of 1800 based on need and circumstance and as well as handing out seed have rice, oil and flour to those deemed to be in the most dire position. Crops are now flourishing in the community and the onion, vetch, and chickpeas distributed are well on their way to harvest. | |||
